Senator Saliu Mustapha, representing Kwara Central senatorial district, extends his warmest congratulations to Alhaji Abdulrahman Olayinka Onikijipa on his emergence as the new Chairman of the Trade Union Congress (TUC) Kwara State chapter.
In a congratulatory message issued to journalists at the weekend in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, the Senator expressed delight on Alhaji Onikijipa’s victory at the triennial conference of the labour union held at Micheal Imoudu National Institute of Labour Studies, recognizing his dedication to labour rights and his commitment to improving the working conditions of Kwara’s workforce.
He noted that the TUC plays a crucial role in advocating for the welfare and rights of workers, and expressed confidence that Alhaji Onikijipa’s leadership will strengthen the union’s efforts in this regard.
“I congratulate Alhaji Abdulrahman Olayinka Onikijipa on his well-deserved election as the new Chairman of the Kwara State chapter of the Trade Union Congress. His experience and passion for labour rights especially as the chairman of RTEAN in our dear state makes him an excellent choice for this position, and I wish him success as he embarks on this new journey. I am confident that he will work hard to advance the interests of workers in Kwara State,” Senator Mustapha said.
The Senator encouraged the new TUC Chairman to continue building bridges between labour and government, fostering dialogue and promoting harmonious industrial relations.
